In short: this website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. We only receive the details you choose to send us through the booking form, by email or by Instagram message, and we use them only to reply to you and arrange your appointment.
Who we are
This website belongs to Pia Miriam, trading as Colours by Pia Miriam, a mobile hair colourist based in London, United Kingdom. Pia Miriam is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us by email at piamiriam@gmail.com or by direct message on Instagram (@coloursbypia_miriam).
What we collect
- Booking form: your name, the service, city and times you choose, any note you add, and the Instagram handle or email address you give us so we can reply.
- Instagram messages and email: if you message or email us, the details you share in that conversation. Instagram messages are also handled by Meta under its own privacy policy.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the website securely. We do not use this to identify you.
Why we use it
We use your details only to answer your enquiry, arrange and manage your appointment, and send you a quote. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us and, when you book, taking the steps needed to provide the service you ask for. We never sell your data and we do not send marketing emails.
Who processes it
The website is hosted by GitHub, Inc. (GitHub Pages), which may process basic technical data outside the UK. Where it does, it relies on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses. Booking form requests are sent to our email through Web3Forms (web3forms.com), which processes them only to deliver them to us and may do so outside the UK. Links to Instagram and Google take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking details only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and look after you as a client, and then delete them.
Cookies
This website does not set any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not load fonts or scripts from third-party services: everything is served from our own website. When you press “OK” on the cookie notice, your browser stores that choice locally on your device (not a cookie) so the notice doesn’t appear again. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
